---------------------- www.psychlotron.org.uk ---------------------- Name of resource: Key Studies Jeopardy Submitted by: Aidan Sammons Specification details: AQA-A Other specifications: Guidance: Engaging revision activity. Students have a series of answers that relate to different aspects (aims, procedures, findings, conclusions) of key studies from AQA modules 1 & 2. For each answer they must formulate the corresponding Q. I gave them 10 mins to attempt the task then had a group Q&A session where I nominated individuals to answer & threw it open if they didn't get it. NB: worth encouraging them to identify whether the info is APF or C even if they can't identify the study. I've stuck to common choices, though. Answers: 1. AIMS of Peterson & Peterson (duration of STM) 2. PROCEDURES of Ainsworth & Bell (individual variations in attachment) 3. FINDINGS of Marmot et al (work as a source of stress) 4. PROCEDURES of Wonderlich et al (sexual abuse & bulimia symptoms) 5. FINDINGS of Bahrick et al (duration of LTM) 6. CONCLUSIONS of Holland et al (genetic study of eating disorders) 7. FINDINGS of Rahe et al (life change as a source of stress) 8. CONCLUSIONS of Kiecolt-Glazer et al (stress and immune functioning) 9. AIMS of Friedman & Rosenman (stress and cardio-vascular disorders) 10. FINDINGS of Bartlett (reconstructive memory) 11. PROCEDURES of Loftus & Palmer (leading Qs; in fact, applies to many such studies)
