---------------------- www.psychlotron.org.uk ---------------------- Name of resource: Describing studies (AFL activity) Submitted by: Aidan Sammons Specification details: AQA-B Other specifications: all Guidance: Activity around describing research studies. Students are asked to rank five sample descriptions of the Asch conformity study according to their quality and then identify the features that make each better/worse than the others. These ideas are then used to construct a mark scheme which they can then use to guide their own writing and assess their own work. I introduce this activity in the last 20mins of a lesson, give them three descriptions of studies to write as homework and then start the next lesson by getting them to use the markscheme to assess each others' work and decide on their own targets for improvement.
